Film Synopsis

Jan is a super bubbly white girl who rocks outfits and hairstyles like she grew up in the hood with black folks. Well, she did NOT. She takes pride in being one of the most helpful people at her job with JME Records and in her every day life. Since she is obsessed with being an ally to the black lives matter movement she goes above and beyond to support. She has a strong passion for Hip-Hop music and it has landed her a promotion to assist the Director of A&R, Makeba Jones. Now, clearly that name tells you Makeba is black. Makeba is also a black woman who is not playing around. So, she may come off a bit intimidating. She means business. Now, Jan’s promotion came from up top and Makeba did not get a say so in her new assistant so Jan has some impressing to do. She tries her best to make Makeba happy, but accidently went too far. Jan was planning the Black History Month potluck and thought it was smart to offer her boss fried chicken and watermelon. This was a horrible microaggression that caused stressed out Makeba to go over the edge when Jan tried to touch her natural hair. Jan will learn today.
